ARE SHUTTERS BLACKOUT?
Shutters do not provide complete blackout, although they make the room dark enough for most people. We can couple the Shutters with a blackout pleated or roller blind behind the Shutter to offer total blackout if required.
WHAT IS THE WAIT TIME FOR SHUTTERS?
Our Shutters take approximately 8-10 weeks from order to installation, this time can increase at certain times of the year. We will let you know about this during your quote.
WHERE ARE YOUR SHUTTERS MADE?
Our Shutters are manufactured by the largest and most renowned factory in the world. We sell the same Shutter products as companies such as John Lewis and Hillarys Blinds.
WHAT GUARANTEE TO YOU OFFER?
Our Shutters come with a full 5 year guarantee on both the product and installation. All our other products have a 2 year product guarantee and 5 year installation guarantee.
DO YOU REQUIRE A PAYMENT UP FRONT?
Due to the nature of made to measure products we require a full payment up front to place the order. We accept all types of debit and credit card. We recommend paying via credit card for your peace of mind as you will be insured for your full payment.
ARE MDF SHUTTERS HIGH QUALITY?
Many Shutter companies try to convince people that MDF Shutters are of a lower quality than natural wood Shutters. This is simply not true, MDF is an extremely stable material and produces a tough and durable product that, once painted, looks identical to its natural wood counterparts. Click here for more info.
I HAVE AN UNUSUAL SHAPED WINDOW, CAN I HAVE SHUTTERS?
Yes, we can cover almost every size and shape of window.
WHICH AREAS DO YOU COVER?
We are based in Sudbury and Halstead on the Essex/Suffolk border. This perfectly places us to cover all of Essex & Suffolk.
WHO WILL INSTALL MY BLINDS OR SHUTTERS?
We install every job ourselves, we are a small independent company that relies on our reputation and therefore every job has to be perfect. We never use third-party installers.
HOW WILL MY SHUTTERS BE FINISHED?
All of our Shutters are made to measure, unfortunately its extremely rare to find a perfectly square window reveal! We seal around the Shutters using decorators caulk to cover any gaps. If your reveal is particularly out of square, we may have to scribe in trim.
